About BenePLAN

Read about Important Changes to SSDI/SSI payments, coming soon.

BenePLAN assists individuals with disabilities — who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) — understand how working and earnings or increasing wages impacts these and other public benefits.  If you are currently receiving SSDI and/or SSI due to a disability and have questions about how your benefits will be affected by going to work or increasing your hours or pay, our team of highly skilled and experienced Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWICs) can help.
BenePLAN receives funding from the U.S. Social Security Administration grant called Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA), which is administered by the University of Massachusetts Medical School.  BenePLAN is one of two WIPA grantees in Massachusetts. BenePLAN CWICs are trained and certified by Virginia Commonwealth University and each possesses extensive experience in employment and benefits.

Work Incentive Planning and Assistance services are made possible through a grant from the U.S. Social Security Administration. In Massachusetts and all other states, Social Security formed cooperative agreements with various organizations and agencies to provide benefits planning and assistance to SSI and SSDI beneficiaries under the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999.
