Employment and Social Security Benefits

If you are currently receiving either Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) as the result of a disabling condition, you have probably often wondered, “Can I return to work, and what will happen to my benefits when I do?” BenePLAN’s trained Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWICs) can help you answer this question.

Social Security’s disability benefits programs have a number of “Work Incentives” built into them.  BenePLAN can help you to understand what these incentives are, and how you can utilize them in your effort to return to work. BenePLAN staff will work with you to review your current benefits, explain the Work Incentives each program offers, and which ones will work best for you. We can also guide you through the process of reporting your work activity and earnings to all concerned parties and programs.

BenePLAN CWICs will be there with you every step of the way. CWICs provide both short term planning and long term support, and they are never more than a phone call away.

With the assistance of your BenePLAN CWIC, you will come to realize that “Yes, you can return to work!”
