Other Benefits

BenePLAN CWIC's have been trained to assist you with the full range of public benefits that are available to individuals with disabilities in Massachusetts. They can answer questions about:

TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) which provides cash assistance to low income families and low income individuals with disabilities.

SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps) that provides assistance in the form of an Electronic Benefit Transfer card that can be used to purchase food at local grocery stores and Farmer's Markets throughout Massachusetts.

Public Housing (also known as Subsidized Housing) that provides affordable housing with monthly rent based on a percentage of an individual's income.
